Thursday Tarot Tutorial: Tarot Prompts For Shadow Work
The best Tarot prompts for your Shadow work.
Will it happen? Won’t it happen? When will “it” happen???
Tarot may be famous for helping us understand when something we want will finally come to us. But few things in this world “just happen.”
If we find ourselves running into the same obstacles it’s time for some Shadow work…and the Tarot is GREAT at that.
What is Shadow Work, anyway? This post breaks it down for you…
Remember: Your Tarot reading is only as good as your prompt.
If you want a clear answer, start your reading with a clear prompt (aka question). In no reading is this more important than when exploring your Shadow.
To use Tarot to explore your Shadow, try these prompts:
What most holds me back?
What do I think is a problem that’s not really a problem?
What elements of my past negatively affect my present?
How can I navigate my obstacles to my best advantage?
How do I sabotage myself?
Before we go further, don’t forget to register for these incredible events!

Hypothetical Example Using The Tarot Prompts:
I drew one card for each of these questions for a hypothetical person. Check out what my cards said!
What most holds me back? 2 of Wands, Rev.: Seeing the world perhaps as you want to see it instead of a more objective vision. Working on developing a balanced perspective may lead to seeing more opportunities.
What do I think is a problem that’s not really a problem? Page of Swords, Rev.: The Page of Swords indicates petty issues. Given that this card is reversed, the person in question may be imagining more conflict with other than is truly present.
What elements of my past negatively affect my present? The Sun: The Sun depicts a happy little baby on a pony. It’s possible that some elements of childhood still may affect the person in question.
How can I navigate my obstacles to my best advantage? The Moon, Rev.: The Moon indicate illusion and delusion. With this card being in reverse, working on unpacking some illusions about the self or others may help the person best navigate their obstacles.
How do I sabotage myself? Death: Death indicates endings, even “k*lling off” something in its prime! The person in question may be ending relationships, projects, or sabotaging professional endeavors out of fear or mistrust of others.
