What do the Knights mean in a Tarot reading? What do Knights signify? What is the spiritual meaning of a Knight? What is the difference between Pages and Knights in Tarot?

Knights are yet another example of cards that can confuse the heck out of would-be readers!

Read on for more!

In a Tarot reading, the presence of a Knight might mean:

  • Movement

  • Process

  • Goal

  • Focus

But one of the greatest gifts of the Knights tells us how something will transpire.

Here is a general break-down for what the Knights say about the speed and effectiveness for which something will happen:

  • Pentacles: Slowest, but most effective.

  • Cups: Pretty slow, but mostly effective.

  • Wands: Pretty fast, and somewhat effective.

  • Swords: Fastest, but least effective.

Example: The querrent asks about a job search.

For each of the Knights, here is what they might anticipate:

  • Knight of Pentacles: Slowest, but most effective. While the job search may take a lot longer than they would like, they will ultimately get a job that best matches what they are looking for.

  • Knight of Cups: Pretty slow, but mostly effective. The job search will take some time, but not too much time. The job will be mostly, but not exactly, what they are looking for.

  • Knight of Wands: Pretty fast, and somewhat effective. They are likely to get a job quite quickly. However, it’s not going to be exactly what they’re looking for.

  • Knight of Swords: Fastest, but least effective. They’ll likely find a job immediately. However, it’s unlikely to be what they’re looking for.

Follow-up questions might include (pull a single card for each of these):

  • How can I speed this process along?

  • How can I make the end result more exact?

  • If it turns out not to be what I’m looking for, how can I best navigate that situation?

  • If it turns out badly, how can I turn it around?
